During my three years as a Social Media Assistant at the University of Kansas, I played a key role in elevating the university’s digital presence and student engagement efforts. I led the creation of RFPs and developed strategic content campaigns tailored to audience insights. I collaborated closely with Kansas Athletics and Big 12 partners on campus events, driving both in-person attendance and online engagement. Additionally, I managed the university’s digital brand voice across platforms like Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and TikTok, using Sprout Social to monitor performance and optimize content strategies. A highlight of my role was spearheading the full rebrand and relaunch of the university’s TikTok channel, which significantly boosted student engagement and brand relevance on emerging platforms.

Video Campaigns

Produced and managed video campaigns for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts, creating targeted content tailored to a variety of themes and topics relevant to higher education audiences.

Student On Campus Campaign

Caption: It’s never just “because” #KU #RockChalk #Jayhawk

Purpose: Launched a questionnaire campaign inspired by trending content at the time of release. The goal was to create an engaging video concept that encouraged current student participation while also appealing to prospective students exploring their academic and career goals.

Big 12 Championship Campaign

Caption: We’re looking forward to seeing friends old and new at the Big 12 Basketball Championship in Kansas City, Does it count as a home court advantage if its within a 45 mile radius of Allen Fieldhouse? We intend to find out!

Purpose: Developed the proposal for the Big 12 Conference initiative in collaboration with all participating schools. Produced and filmed content featuring KU mascots and curated a final video for the university, focused on the theme of community and unity across campuses.
